Information for university and college admissions teams: the impact of Covid 19 on our Year 13 cohort at Waddesdon CE School
Our school closed on 23rd March, 2020, like all schools across the UK. This had a significant impact on the students midway through Year 12. Teachers uploaded lesson resources for students to work through at home for each timetabled lesson, with some limited use of PowerPoint embedded audio and Loom clips. There were some live lessons in a couple of subject areas. While students received feedback on their work, this was not as frequent as had they been in school. We had to cancel the internal end of Year 12 Exams and thus predicted grades are based on work completed prior to and during lockdown, as well as the start to Year 13 courses. Once lockdown eased in mid-June, students attended one day of school only per subject before the summer holidays.
