We strongly believe that successful students need to be well equipped for independent study and revision. In order to support this vision, we run a ‘Successful Learning Programme’ for all Key Stage 3 and 4 year groups. 

The programme involves the delivery of  whole year group sessions with a focus on: 

Year 7: School ethos- dignity and respect, Mastery 

Year 8: Becoming a reflective learner and making good choices (GCSE options) 

Year 9: Revision with a focus on how to condense notes

Year 10: Revision with a focus on memory

Year 11: Revision with a focus on time management and practise 

The school calendar includes events to share key information and guidance to support students and families with successful learning from home. Events include:

• Year 8 Options information evening

• Year 11 Mock Exam information evening

• Year 12 Information evening
