As a school we strive to support and challenge every student to achieve their very best on their chosen Programme of Study.
As well as ensuring our students thrive academically, we aim to help them to develop into well-rounded, responsible young adults, ready to face the challenges of the modern world. To give back to the community and develop key employability skills, we encourage students to make the most of the many opportunities open to them.
We are building a designated Sixth Form Space which fosters creativity, industry and hope. It will be educationally stimulating, culturally enriching and environmentally sustainable. In the early designs, we set a vision based on the principle of building from the inside-out, reflecting the way in which we view each student. Through it, we aspire to encourage our young people to look and reflect upon their individual and collective values and see how their learning enables them to engage with, and play a positive role in, the world.
Thanks to the generosity of the Rothschild Foundation and Buckinghamshire Local Authority, we are well on our way to building the Sixth Form Centre that the students at Waddesdon so badly need.
The Jacob Rothschild Sixth Form Centre will provide much needed space for study, a performing arts and lecture space, an innovation suite and a reflection room. It has been designed to meet our young people’s needs, enabling them to flourish, as they move from school to further study, employment and adulthood.
We are now looking for your support to raise £500,000 which will enable us to complete the project. We cannot raise this amount alone, but firmly believe in the collective impact of individuals working together to make dreams come a reality.
Your donation will specifically ensure that that the building is environmentally sustainable, has the technological infrastructure necessary to supports its design and is sympathetically incorporated within the existing school site. The building of Sixth Form Centre also enables us to improve the accommodation in other areas of the school.
Thank you in advance for your interest and support in this once in a generation project.
